My family of 5...

So, I guess I should have started out by telling you a little about my family. But I guess better late than never.
I will start with the youngest of the Cox's clan Sloan he is 3 but will be 4 very soon he is very BUSY!!! He loves to play with cars and being outside. He is in pre-school 3 days a week. (So I can get something done) He is so full of life I wish I had 1/4 of this energy.
The middle child is Seth he is 6 and is in Kindergarten. He is my book worm. He loves to read and watch TV. He is very sweet and loving. He played basketball this year for the first time and made his FIRST basket at his last game on Monday night. He says he loves it and wants to play again next year! I am so glad that we found the sport for him!
On to my first born Savanah She is 10 and is a DRAMA QUEEN. I mean that in the BEST way. She is so dramatic about every thing. She is in 4th grade and has the best teacher! She too played basketball and LOVED it. I am glad we found a sport she wants to stick with. She has played everything once I think! She is very good at all of them but says she likes bball the best. She is also in choir at church and school she is going to try to get a solo part in the church choir. She to likes to read and is Very Loving but you know when she is home unlike Seth.
ok i guess it is on to me....My name is Nikki and I was an only child up until about 8 years ago....Now I have 3 sisters Charity,Britany and Olivia. I also have one brother Rock. I know that it sounds crazy that in 8 year i got all these sisters and brothers but It was not as odd as it sounds my oldest sister is 25. When I was growing up me and my dad didn't talk. We talked up until the time I was about 8 and then all the sudden he stopped after getting remarried....I know now that the women he married (Pam) was just very young and scared and didn't really know what to do with a 8 year old girl...SO from the time I was 8 until 27 I think I didn't talk to my Birmingham family. Now though we talk and we r even thinking about moving down there. I know u r thinking I am nuts I don't even really know my dad (Rick) or step-mom or brother and sisters but that is part of the benefit of moving down there to get to know them better.
I am the mother of 3 very different and unique child. I am trying to raise them in a loving GODly environment. Although sometimes that is hard..
Last but not least is my husband of almost 6 years. Michael, he is a hard working man that loves his children even savy who is not his. He Coached both of the basketball teams for the kids this year and has now vowed to " NEVER DO THAT AGAIN" he said one is enough. Michael just lost his mom in August and boy has he changed for the better he used to never to talk to anyone even me and now sometimes u can not get him to be quite! Which is a good thing... I think he realizes that we r all he has so he better be nice to us....Just kidding I really thing no I NO that he loves us all. He would do anything for us. He is just a little slow at times!

Friends

SO, in my last BLOG I mentioned SARAH I would like to talk a little about her now...We became friends when she got pregnant with my moms best friends sons child... (We know now that she had a BEAUTIFUL Little girl Brittany who's almost 12 now, I love brit like my own child.) OK back to Sarah... We became friend that were off again on again and that is how we have always been we will talk for a while and then not talk to one another for a while. BUT it always seem like when we do talk again that we can pick up RIGHT where we left off. Sarah and I have been through a lot of ups and downs together...
Let me start by telling u that about a year after Sarah had Brit got preg. and had a daughter 2 no I was not married and I know that if I would have married this man I would have gotten a divorce from him we just didn't mesh well. Yes I will always LOVE him in a special way but we were not meant to be married!
OK now back to Sarah and I. We really started hanging out when we lived next door to each other and BOY was that fun!!! I remember always running back and forth it was so much fun to have my BEST FRIEND living so close. We would go out every other weekend when we didn't have the girls (by the way r daughters r best friends now too) and on the weekends we had them we would do things together. We finial found that "special" someone and went on r separated ways. Sarah got preg. with child # 2 (KayLee) and married her dad (TIM) and boy was that a rough time for Sarah. Tim would leave and then come back he did this more times then I can count. Sarah being the kind, forgiving person that she was she would always take him back. I now see that Tim just didn't want to grow up just yet and be married with 2 kids! SO needless to say back then I didn't care for this man at all! Now though there still together and they have both really changed for the better! They have adopted 2 BEAUTIFUL little girls, they r so great together as a family. U can really tell that they all really LOVE one another. I guess I could really learn something from all of this craziness...FORGIVENESS. I really love Sarah because she is always there for me weather we have been talking for months or we just see each other out of the blue.
As for Tim I guess I have really grown to like him 2 and I see what Sarah like in him yes they like any couple have there troubles but there 2 great people!

Just a little about My family

OK, it is 9pm way past my bed time and my friend SARAH calls and was telling me about this BLOG page that her and her husband have and she said " You should do it" SO, I did it. I now have BLOG page!!!! I never thought I would but I do...
My husband Mike and I have 2 boys Seth who is 6 and Sloan who is 3. I also have a daughter from a previous relationship who is 10 Her name is Savanah.
Mike and I have been together for 7 years now. We have been married for 5 year it will be six on Feb 23rd. (Yes, I always get that wrong) It has been very hard for us in those 7 years. but we made it through and I think that we r SO much stronger for it now. Yes like any man he get on my nerves from time to time but, I have truly found that I LOVE this man. When we were first married I thought what if there is something better out there for me.? And I would wonder about past boyfriend......But in the past few months I have come to realize that MICHAEL really does LOVE me with all his heart and he is so GOOD to me...NO he may not be perfect but he is mine and I am with him FOREVER!!!
Well as I said before it is WAY past my bedtime and I am off to bed now... I will write more soon...
